PE
At Gretton Primary School we are committed to providing an inclusive, exciting and engaging Physical Education Curriculum to all children.
We aim to inspire our pupils to enjoy and engage in PE activities by providing a wide range of opportunities within PE lessons, after school clubs and extra curricular sport activities within the wider community. All children access a block of swimming lessons in Years 3-5 and throughout the school our pupils take part in Forest School which provides physical challenges and activities in the great outdoors.
For the Academic year 2024-2025 we are implementing a new PE Curriculum from GetSet4PE.
Some of the PE opportunities we have provided in 2023-2024 include:
* Whole School Sports Day
* Athletics competition at Tewkesbury School
* Netball, Football and Rubgy tournaments against schools in the Tewkesbury district
* Stanway Rounders competing against two local schools
* Bell Boating Races against several local schools from Gloucestershire and Worcestershire
* Judo classes for Year 5 and year 6
* Yoga workshop for Year 2 and 3
Please see our Gretton PE Policy for further information.
